A flag, carried by thousands of people, to be delivered to Mayor Massimo Zedda and raised on the town hall.

This is the gesture that will mark this evening, Friday, September 26th, when the heart of Cagliari will beat to the rhythm of the Night for Gaza. A procession of music, art, and popular participation with a very specific demand: to stop the massacre and to affirm that the city chooses to stand with the Palestinian people.

The meeting is set for 8:00 PM on Via Roma, in front of the Regional Council building.

From there the procession, announced by the organizers as "the race of indignation" , will take shape by occupying the roadway with cars and blocking traffic.

At 8:30 PM, a delegation of protesters will enter Palazzo Bacaredda to deliver a Palestinian flag to Mayor Massimo Zedda and a request to display it on the facade of the City Hall, sending a strong and visible message of solidarity from Cagliari.

After meeting the mayor, the march will continue its route through the city center: Via Roma, Viale Trieste, Via Caprera, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Yenne, and Via Manno will be lined with hundreds of torches, chants, and signs, until reaching Piazza Costituzione.

Here the protest will turn into a long night vigil: a sit-in that will combine music, dance, art, and memory.

The Teatro Lirico Orchestra will ascend the steps of the Bastione, performing pieces inspired by Palestinian tradition. Alongside them, around thirty artists, musicians, and dancers will enliven the square with live performances, making the mobilization a major cultural event.

At the heart of the initiative, however, will be a collective workshop: sewing together a large patchwork flag, made from scraps of fabric brought by participants in the colors red, green, white, and black.
