Two companies operating in the field of boat rental were sanctioned by the soldiers of the Olbia Coast Guard who reported them to the Nuoro Public Prosecutor's Office for abusive occupation of a body of water .

The dead bodies and the chains used to moor the boats and dinghies were removed from the seabed and seized by Coast Guard personnel engaged in the "Mare Sicuro" operation which involved one of the most renowned beaches on the east coast, at inside the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo and currently with a limited number of entries.
