There were two illegal dumps. Now there are two portions of land cleaned up. In the meantime, those responsible have been identified: they had to pay a fine and were forced to clean up the areas.

A perfect result achieved by the collaboration between the metropolitan police of Cagliari, directed by Maurizio Carcangiu and the local police of Quartucciu (commander Fabio Carboni ) and Quartu, with the activity led by the head of the environmental surveillance unit, Massimo Valtan.

The coordinated investigations were carried out to try to trace those responsible for the abandonment of large quantities of waste in a dirt road in via Giovanni Picci, on the border between the two municipalities. There were household goods on one side and numerous bags full of garbage and various papers on the other.

In the first case, the agents were able to trace it back to renovation work carried out in a pharmacy: the material had been abandoned by the company in charge of managing the construction site. In the second case, the person responsible was the owner of a Gratta e Vinci shop: inside the packages there were coupons (obviously not winning ones).

Having contested the violations, the order for collection and disposal also arrived. And now the areas are cleaned up.
