A 26-year-old of North African origin is under house arrest in Iglesias, for having repeatedly violated the measure of the obligation to reside in the municipality. He was initially arrested last March in flagrante delicto, for an aggravated theft in a city supermarket.

The day after the first arrest, the suspect was ordered to reside in Iglesias. However, subsequent and constant checks carried out by the Carabinieri allowed them to document repeated and unjustified violations of the measure, with frequent unauthorized departures from the municipality .

Following repeated violations, the Second Criminal Section of the Court of Cagliari issued an order revoking the obligation to remain in his home, replacing it with the more restrictive measure of house arrest. The twenty-six-year-old was found inside his home, where he was informed of the increased sentence .
