Four young people aged between 18 and 24 ended up in handcuffs in Iglesias, caught dealing in the public gardens of via Oristano .

On Thursday afternoon, during an activity to combat drug dealing, the agents of the Iglesias police station, together with the local police, saw a 24-year-old giving wrappers to other young people after receiving money.

Helping the boy were three other young people who, according to the prosecution, actively participated in the drug dealing by transporting the drugs into the park, which at that time was frequented by numerous families with children .

The police intervened and checked the young people, finding 50 grams of marijuana and three of hashish hidden in the 24-year-old's clothing. Instead, 22 grams of marijuana and a precision scale were found on a 19-year-old, while another 95 grams were found in a backpack hidden near the house of one of the four. The house search revealed 100 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug dealing, and packaging material.

The four boys, all from Iglesias, were arrested red-handed . The investigating judge validated the arrests: for the 24-year-old he was ordered to live in the municipality of Iglesias, for the other three he was sentenced to one year and eight months with a fine of 6 thousand euros, a sentence suspended on parole.
