He had disembarked in Sulcis from a small boat just 5 days ago, during which time he was first accused of a theft from a commercial establishment and, last night, arrested by the Carabinieri at the Iglesias station for attempted sexual assault against a sixteen-year-old.
A 19-year-old Algerian man was stopped by members of the Iglesias Police Radiomobile Unit after the alarm was raised by a young girl, who had managed to find shelter on a bus after a boy allegedly tried to drag her into a dark place, yanking her around and trying to kiss her.
Based on his description, the Carabinieri arrested the 19-year-old, who appeared in court this morning. The arrest was validated with a signature requirement.
