A man was hunting with a gun license that had expired more than three years earlier and without paying the required fees . For this reason, he was reported and had his rifle and ammunition seized. The incident occurred on January 4th in the countryside of Olmedo, in the Sa Mandracchina area, during a hunting inspection by the Forestry Corps.
What aroused the suspicions of the Alghero Forestry Police officers was the hunter's behavior, who, upon seeing the patrol, attempted to hide behind the vegetation.
Shortly afterward, he reappeared without the weapon he had been holding just moments before. The rifle was found by forest rangers inside a bush, where the man had tried to hide it.
Document checks revealed a serious irregularity: the gun license had expired more than three years earlier, making possession of the weapon and ammunition illegal. The man was immediately reported to the judicial authorities, who subsequently validated the seizure.
