The 2024/25 hunting calendar in Sardinia changes.
Following the recent ruling of the TAR, the new provision provides for the early closure of hunting for the species of Mallard and Moorhen - initially set for January 30 - to Sunday, January 19.
The sentence was issued - the Region explains in a note - "following an appeal presented by the association Earth Odv , which highlighted critical issues in the calendar forecasts, recalling the need to adapt to the scientific and regulatory parameters established at national and European level for the conservation of wild fauna".
The decision takes into account the indications of ISPRA and the principles contained in the Birds Directive 2009/147/EC.
The new calendar, with the changes made, can be consulted on the institutional website of the Sardinia Region in the section dedicated to the Department of the Environment.
