Housing emergency: the opposition urges the mayor for tax incentives on long-term rentals and for IMU exemption. With an agenda presented by UDC-Patto per Alghero, Forza Italia, Fratelli d'Italia, Lega and Prima Alghero, the minority councilors ask the Raimondo Cacciotto government for urgent measures to try to resolve the problem of annual rents, now unobtainable in a tourist city like Alghero.

"An ever-increasing number of families do not have the resources necessary to buy a house and therefore must resort to renting a property, the cost of which is increasingly high," the document reads. "The great demand for housing is not adequately met in the city, indeed the supply is equal to zero or almost zero," warn the mayor's political opponents.

Many fellow citizens are moving to the nearby municipalities of Olmedo, Uri and Ittiri and to mitigate the flight from Alghero and facilitate the search for a home it is proposed to "structure strong tax incentives for long-term rentals, intervening on the municipal IMU rate through a reduction or reimbursement, specifically for long-term rentals, for three years".
