House on fire in Quartucciu: fear in via Pabillonis
The cause of the fire is still unclear. The house was empty, and firefighters and Carabinieri were on site.There was great fear this evening in Quartucciu , around 9:30 PM, where a fire broke out inside a house on Via Pabillonis . The crackling flames and thick smoke alarmed residents, who immediately called for help.
The Cagliari firefighters, who arrived on the scene with a fire engine, began extinguishing the fire. Shortly thereafter, the Carabinieri from the Mobile Radio Section of the Quartu Sant'Elena Company's Operational and Mobile Radio Unit also arrived.
The ground-floor home, owned by a 66-year-old woman from Cagliari who lives with a 68-year-old Senegalese man , was completely engulfed in flames. The fire caused severe structural damage, rendering the property uninhabitable. Fortunately, no one was inside at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
