Fear at dawn in a house on Via Aldo Moro in Maracalagonis, due to a large fire that forced the members of the resident family, including a disabled person, to find shelter on the balcony.

The alarm was raised immediately with the arrival of the Fire Brigade who brought all the people in danger to safety with the ladder they had provided.

An 80-year-old man was intoxicated and was taken by 118 with a yellow code to the Policlinico of Monserrato for tests.

The firefighters, having extinguished the flames, then cleared the house, which had reported serious damage. The fire was apparently caused by a short circuit, probably in the kitchen.

Also on site were the Carabinieri from Maracalagonis and the Quartu Radiomobile Unit.
