The judicial case of the exclusive resort (on paper) Villa del Borgo, in Pula, ended with the confiscation, by order of the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal of Cagliari. This morning the order was carried out by the regional investigative unit of the Forestry and Environmental Supervision Corps: the operation was coordinated by Attorney General Luigi Patronaggio and by the prosecutor Liliana Ledda.
The intervention marks the conclusion of a long process that began in 2014, when an illegal subdivision and the construction of a hotel of almost 300 square meters, equipped with a swimming pool and ancillary works, were carried out without the necessary authorizations in an area subject to landscape restrictions. The structure, with an estimated value of approximately 1.5 million euros, had been seized in 2016 and is now officially owned by the Italian State.
In the coming days, a further provision will establish whether the confiscated structure will be acquired or demolished at the expense of those responsible.
