It is the effect - the unions denounce - of the void in territorial assistance services, which generates over 70 thousand "improper" hospitalizations and a waste of 210 million euros . Many patients are elderly people left without family assistance.

But the emergency also affects the inland areas, where there is a shortage of general practitioners.
