He felt ill during the night and yesterday he ended up in the Brotzu emergency room. Here the causes of the illness of a thirty-three year old Nigerian were discovered: he had 90 heroin ovules in his body, for a total weight of about one kilo and 400 grams. In addition to treatment, therefore, he was arrested.

The doctors from the emergency department of the hospital on Via Peretti alerted the agents of the Flying Squad of the Cagliari police headquarters, who immediately suspected that the young man had ingested illegal substances.

The investigators of the Anti-Drug section then had the certainty from the medical staff, first following radiological tests, then from the subsequent emergency surgery to which the thirty-three-year-old was subjected. The operation brought to light the ovules.

The investigating judge, after the validation hearing, imposed custody in prison. But, given his serious health conditions, he allowed the Nigerian to be held in hospital.
