It's a historic day for Sardinia's road system and safety. This morning, the decision-making conference convened by the Regional Department of Public Works gave final approval to the project to improve safety on State Road 130.

A momentous milestone, eagerly awaited for over thirty years by local communities and territories, which comes at the end of a complex and shared journey.

A unanimous vote

The turning point came when the opinions were counted: all 38 parties invited to the roundtable expressed a favorable opinion ("yes"). Therefore, no objections were raised for a project deemed no longer postponable.

This result rewards the teamwork and strong determination of the three municipalities directly affected by the route—Decimomannu, Assemini, and Elmas—who over the decades have never stopped fighting and working hard to achieve a modern and safe infrastructure.

The push of the commissioner structure

Today's approval is the result of close collaboration between the commissioner's office, led by the regional councilor for Public Works, Antonio Piu, and all the entities involved in the process.

A working method based on constant dialogue and institutional cooperation has allowed us to expedite the bureaucratic process, overcoming the final obstacles and ensuring the project's coverage and feasibility.
