First a "heat storm", arriving in the next few days over most of Italy which will also invest Sardinia, with the thermometer reaching 40 degrees. Then from next week the new heat wave will give way to clouds and rain.
This is confirmed by the experts of the Decimomannu Air Force weather office. «We are still under the influence of high pressure», explains lieutenant Marco Formicola, «for the next few days it is expected to still be hot with peaks that can reach 40 degrees especially in the hinterland of the central western and northern areas of the island. At least until Monday 21 the temperatures will remain on average around 35-37 degrees».
The winds will blow from the south in a breeze regime, and then rotate from Sunday to a north-east wind, with a slight reinforcement. The turning point from Monday, with the arrival of a depression that will lead to an increase in cloudiness. "Starting from Wednesday 23rd and following on the 24th, light rainfall is also expected", adds the expert, who underlines: "The greatest instability will be recorded on the reliefs and in particular in Gallura, Barbagia, Nuorese and central-northern areas of the island, where there could also be some thunderstorms».
