A serious traffic accident occurred this afternoon in San Pantaleo, on the old Orientale Sarda highway, near kilometer marker 335, in the Su Stazzu Saraghinu area. Seven people were injured in the crash, two of them seriously.

Three vehicles were involved, carrying 14 people. According to initial reconstructions, there was a head-on collision between a car and a van, followed by a side impact with a minibus. Emergency medical services, a helicopter, and five ambulances responded to the scene.

The two most seriously injured were transported by Areus air ambulance to Nuoro hospital. Three patients with critical injuries were transported to Olbia, and two others with minor injuries were transferred to Tempio. Firefighters and traffic police were also on site.

Meanwhile, state road 125 has been temporarily closed in both directions.
