A road accident occurred this afternoon around 4:00 PM on provincial road 38, between Dorgali and Nuoro, not far from the town's industrial area.

For reasons still under investigation, a head-on collision occurred between two cars, likely due to a sudden maneuver to avoid a wild animal that appeared on the roadway. Two women, aged 55 and 41, were injured in the violent impact.

The motorists were treated by emergency medical services (118) who responded with ambulances and transported to the hospital for checkups. The exact condition of their injuries is currently unknown, but they are not believed to be life-threatening. Carabinieri officers also responded to the scene, conducting investigations to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident and managing traffic. The accident caused significant traffic delays, resulting in disruptions throughout the rescue operations and the safety of the road.
