He continued to harass her even after the state police arrived. On Wednesday evening in Sassari , a 40-year-old woman contacted the police, frightened by repeated messages from a 41-year-old man who, a few months earlier, had revealed his feelings for her. And despite the unrequited messages, the man persisted in his harassment, even two days ago, when he texted her on her cell phone, claiming to be outside her house.

The text messages also arrived while law enforcement officers were at the woman's home and led to the suspect's arrest for stalking after police officers discovered him near the woman's home. The suspect justified this by citing the proximity of his home to the victim's.

Yesterday, the validation hearing was held in court, where it emerged that the two had known each other since childhood and that, since 2020, the 41-year-old had begun contacting the 40-year-old via social media, expressing appreciation and sentimental content in his messages.

The panel, chaired by Monia Adami, with Sara Pelicci and Stefania Mosca-Angelucci on her flanks, ordered the arrest to be validated and the precautionary measure of a ban on approaching the victim or the places frequented by the victim. The prosecutor was Maria Paola Asara, while the defense lawyers were Anna Ganadu and Carlo Ermini.
