A 23-year-old Algerian man was arrested by the Carabinieri in Cagliari following the theft of two cell phones yesterday afternoon on Poetto beach.

The Carabinieri were alerted by swimmers, and the man was located thanks to the help of a helicopter from the Elmas Carabinieri helicopter unit that was patrolling the area.

The 23-year-old was taken to the police station on Via Nuoro awaiting trial. However, that evening he threatened and attempted to attack the Carabinieri.

In light of the new conduct, the twenty-three-year-old was arrested again, this time for the crimes of resisting arrest, assault or threats, and insulting a public official.
