He provided the Carabinieri with videos and images proving years of stalking. This is how a woman from Siniscola managed to free herself from her ex-partner, who had made her life miserable. The sixty-nine-year-old was arrested by the local Carabinieri on charges of stalking.
According to the military's reconstruction, the man had not accepted the end of the relationship and the fact that the woman had come into possession of some properties.
The escalation of violence reportedly began about two years ago. The man's hatred toward his ex-partner had become increasingly aggressive. On several occasions, he allegedly damaged her front door, knocking over garbage cans. He also allegedly disconnected a water pipe and urinated on her at the entrance to the house. On an almost daily basis, he denigrated her with particularly offensive insults, threatening her with death, even outside her home.
The courage to report the facts, documented with videos, led to a breakthrough that restored the woman's freedom and peace of mind: the arrest was made in flagrante delicto, meaning within 48 hours of the last crime committed. And this can only happen if the circumstances are unequivocally proven, as evidenced by the extensive video and photographic documentation submitted to the police.

The sixty-nine-year-old is now under house arrest, with an electronic bracelet.
