The investigations by the Quartu Carabinieri and the Cagliari Investigative Unit are continuing to shed light on the attempted murder of Solanas and the murder of Margine Rosso.

Several people were questioned between yesterday and today about the two incidents linked by the same hand, the bricklayer Alessandro Pintus (39 years old) who first shot his wife Michela Rubiu in Solanas, then killed his brother Andrea Pintus in his father's house in via Asfodelo 26 in Margine Rosso.

The young bricklayer has been in prison since yesterday to answer for the two incidents. His wife, Michela, is hospitalized at Brotzu Hospital in serious condition. This evening or tomorrow morning, coroner Roberto Demontis will perform a post-mortem examination on the victim's body , which was held at the Brotzu Institute of Forensic Medicine since yesterday morning.

It all began in Solanas, as soon as Michela Rubiu opened the family bar on Via Al Mare at dawn . There were already a few customers there when Alessandro Pintus arrived and, after an argument, shot his wife, seriously wounding her in the head. A tense, dramatic moment followed. Less than half an hour later, according to the Carabinieri investigation (led by Major Michele Cerri and Lieutenant Vittrio Piras), Alessandro Pintus arrived at the home on Via Asfodelo, in Margine Rosso, killing his brother in the courtyard with at least three shots from a 7.65 mm pistol, a legally held weapon. More terrible moments unfolded before the family's eyes.

The outpouring of solidarity for the two families was overwhelming. Last night, a prayer vigil was held in the parish church of Solanas, organized by the people and the parish priest, Don Zanda, for the woman who ended up in the hospital.
