He purchased various models of cars and then rented them out on the black market to convicted criminals in Logudoro, as well as to numerous tourists on the Costa Smeralda. A man from Oziero reported.

The man had managed to take advantage of important tax breaks, as ascertained by the carabinieri of the operational and mobile unit of the Carabinieri company of Ozieri. He was the head of a totally fictitious phantom company which, in addition to not having its own physical headquarters and useful spaces for parking its cars, had in fact declared almost negligible, absolutely false sums to the tax authorities.

The investigations, started in March 2023, made it possible to identify as many as 13 cars and mopeds and even a license plate proving that they were all registered to the 41-year-old, an Oziero owner of the company who, in addition to the complaint, was the recipient of the administrative sanctions provided for by the art. 94 bis of the Highway Code. The system, made up of direct payments and cash, had made it possible to evade taxes by guaranteeing the non-traceability of operations and therefore the anonymity of rentals. It benefited both the people of Oziere, who made themselves known to potential buyers through business cards and free advertising on social media, and tourists looking for easy savings.

The mechanism was based on an exclusively verbal agreement and the cash payment occurred once the meeting took place for the delivery of the car which was then returned to a car park. Or rather, abandoned, with the key hidden in one of the wheel arches or in another nearby place.
