The Mobile Squad of the Oristano Police Headquarters, with the help of colleagues from Livorno, arrested a 29-year-old Roma resident in Croatia and homeless in Italy for aggravated home theft.

Last August the woman, together with an accomplice identified and referred to the judicial authority, had burgled an apartment in via Segni and shortly before had tried to break into another house on the same street.

The investigations of the Flying Squad have reconstructed all the movements of the two thieves, from the moment they arrived on the island from Livorno by ship until the moment they left, always towards Livorno and always aboard a ship.

The two behaved like tourists: first they rented a Fiat 500 in Olbia and rented a holiday home on the coast of Siniscola to be able to move around the island undisturbed. Then the first inspections in Oristano, where they identified a prestigious building with numerous apartments.

The women began to ring various bells to access the common area, once they entered they identified the apartments to hit. In the first they did not manage to enter, in the second they made it and left after about forty minutes, bringing with them numerous gold jewels.

So they went away and left the island convinced that they had gotten away with it: but thanks to the analysis of dozens of hours of video recordings, the investigators were able to identify them. Women had numerous precedents of this type. The arrested woman is now in prison in Florence.
