He pays 600 euros in advance for the rent, but it's a scam: the complaint is triggered in Villacidro

A twenty-two year old from Catania , unemployed and already known to the police, was reported in Villacidro for fraud .

The victim was a twenty-one year old local , who paid the scammer by bank transfer the sum of 600 euros as an advance for two months' rent for accommodation in Milan , where the young man is studying for university. Too bad, however, that after receiving the money, the 22-year-old from Catania disappeared from Facebook, where the two had met, and stopped answering the phone.

The cheated young man then turned to the carabinieri , who managed to identify the perpetrator of the scam.
