A total of seven kilos of cocaine were intercepted by the soldiers of the Olbia Group of the Guardia di Finanza: the drug was transported by a twenty-seven year old, who had just disembarked in his car from a ferry arriving from Livorno.
Last March 8, but the news was only disclosed today, the financiers focused their attention on the small car. The dogs' nose did the rest: they signaled that something was wrong in the front part of the car. Following an inspection, the first discovery in the engine compartment: two kilos. The other five were hidden between the dashboard and the passenger side airbag compartment.
The seized cocaine, once cut and placed on the market, would have brought in around one million euros. The twenty-seven year old was arrested and is now locked up in Nuchis prison. The car was seized, as was his cell phone.
