He had a gun, drugs and a lot of cash. Despite a daring escape attempt, he was arrested by the Flying Squad officers of the Cagliari Police Headquarters. The trouble for a thirty-year-old arrived yesterday evening, when the police decided to check an SUV parked in via Sanna, in the Santa Teresa neighborhood. Inside there were two men, sitting on the right side, in front and in the back.

The search of them was fruitless. Then the driver arrived, who at the sight of the officers immediately showed a certain nervousness. So much so that at a certain point he broke free and ran away, while another patrol car arrived on the scene.

During his escape he first got rid of two cell phones and immediately after another object, throwing it towards a sheet metal shed. But he was stopped.

Along the way, two cell phones were recovered, a magazine with 8 7.65 cal. bullets and on the roof of a small storage room a Beretta mod. 70 pistol without a magazine and with the hammer cocked.

Once the search was completed, a package containing approximately 1.20 grams of cocaine and the sum of 2,150 euros divided into 50-euro notes was also found on the thirty-year-old: at the end of the investigations, the man, with numerous previous convictions in relation to weapons and drugs, was arrested on charges of illegal possession of a clandestine firearm and possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
