He was in a car accident. When he arrived at the hospital, they had to identify him. The doctors opened his fanny pack and found drugs and money. They called the police, who searched his home. A large amount of hashish was discovered.
This is how trouble began for a forty-eight-year-old man, who was taken to Brotzu Hospital a few days ago after losing control of his car. The emergency room doctors should have known his name, but the bag contained not only his documents but also a heat-sealed package that aroused their suspicions.
The call to 112 triggered the subsequent sequence of events. The officers proceeded to check the purse, confirming the findings of the medical workers. A raid on the forty-eight-year-old's home confirmed the suspicions: the officers found and seized 23 blocks of hashish, equal to approximately 2.3 kilos, as well as packaging materials.
The forty-eight-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
