He was preparing to board the GNV ship, headed for Genoa, with a machete, well hidden in the trunk of his car to evade security, but was stopped by officers from the Porto Torres police station.

Yesterday evening, upon boarding from the Turritano port, a Swiss citizen was reported for having been found with a weapon hidden inside his car, a large machete discovered following searches by police.

Also yesterday morning, a homeless woman was fined for begging for loitering in front of a supermarket. The woman was also charged with the so-called Minniti decree, requiring her to be removed from the premises for the next 48 hours.

The measure was taken in compliance with a mayoral ordinance issued by Mayor Massimo Mulas, a measure that prohibits loitering and begging, out of respect for urban decorum.
