Hashish and a drug-packaging kit found in the house: one arrest in Cortoghiana

In Cortoghiana , State Police officers arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking . The man, already known to law enforcement, was stopped last Wednesday by officers from the Iglesias and Carbonia Public Safety Commissioner's Office while riding his bicycle through the center of the Carbonia hamlet.
Although a personal search yielded no results, his nervous demeanor aroused the suspicions of the officers, who decided to proceed with a house search. Inside the residence, they found 29 grams of hashish, a switchblade dipped in the same substance, packaging materials, and €485 in cash, presumably believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The 37-year-old was then arrested red-handed for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking. Following the validation hearing, held yesterday morning, the investigating judge confirmed the arrest without ordering any precautionary measures .
