From pipe organ to guitar. From the "Mascagni" Conservatory of Livorno to the "Canepa" Conservatory of Sassari . On March 25th, at 7 pm, the second installment of "Wednesdays at the Conservatory" will feature two talented young guitarists: Niccolò Chiaramonti and Michelangelo Salvini . The concert is free.
The program includes Fernando Sor's Divertissement, Op. 62; Giorgio Mirto's Invisible Cities; Álvaro Company's An Image (Thinking of Franz Schubert), Op. 64; and the second movement from Johannes Brahms's String Sextet No. 1, Op. 18, arranged by John Williams.
The Chiaramonti-Salvini Duo was formed in February 2024 during a Renaissance music concert for the exhibition "Leonardo Da Vinci. Beauty and Invention" at the Livorno City Museum. Since then, they have undertaken an intense concert schedule throughout Tuscany, offering an opportunity to listen to works from the Renaissance, Baroque, and twentieth-century repertoire .
In October 2024, the duo distinguished themselves by receiving first prize in the seventh edition of the Città di Torgiano International Competition and second prize in the seventh edition of the International Florence Guitar Festival.
