A senior center in Quartu Sant'Elena is at risk of closure due to "serious hygiene and sanitation deficiencies."

The measure was taken after an inspection by the NAS Carabinieri of Cagliari.

The military found numerous irregularities at the retirement home, including widespread bird droppings in the residents' living areas. This situation was described as "serious" and "potentially endangering the health of the elderly."

For this reason, the Carabinieri of the Anti-Adoption Unit have submitted a request to the competent authorities to suspend the facility's operating license and revoke its regional accreditation.
