Giuseppe Meloni is the new president of the Order of Journalists of Sardinia. The inauguration, after the elections last March, took place this morning, during the first meeting of the new regional council, which also designated Simona Scioni as vice president, Roberto Sanna as secretary and Federico Marini in the role of treasurer.

Among the first issues put on the table, the quality of compulsory training, the protection of minors in information, the control of ethical issues and the increasingly necessary role of the Order in the debate on artificial intelligence applied to the world of information.

The council is completed by Paolo Mastino, Francesca Zoccheddu, Daniela Paba, Rachele Falchi and Antonella Brianda : a heterogeneous group, representing different experiences and transversal sensibilities, called to guide the organization in an undoubtedly delicate phase for the profession.

At the same time as the Regional Council, the Board of Auditors was also established, electing Antonio Masala as president. The other auditors are Pietro Masala and Giovanni Di Grezia.
