For the sculptor Gigi Porceddu , Guccini's death was a great loss and sorrow. Porceddu will never forget the meeting with the singer-songwriter: "He asked me for a portrait 'Lintu e Pintu' (precisely). I never thought I'd see the master in my home, and even ask for a portrait, a poet I've always loved and a great intellectual."

Artist Gigi Porceddu also recalls that "we also went to Barumini, and in addition to the nuraghi, I told him the history of the Sardinian people, which is unique in the world. Guccini was very interested. It's no coincidence that he always said he loved Sardinia ." And furthermore, Porceddu continues, "let's not forget that Guccini was a teacher to whom we explained things about the island that he didn't know."

Guccini's farewell is a mourning throughout Italy: "Fortunately, his songs remain," continues Gigi Porceddu. "Sardinia, Italy, and part of the world are bereft of one of Italy's great poets.
