Today, Saturday, February 7, Carabinieri officers from the Giba station executed a precautionary order issued by the Court of Cagliari, banning a 68-year-old unemployed local man, already known to law enforcement, from residing within the municipal boundaries .

The order was issued following a complaint filed last October by his ex-wife, who alleged she had been the victim of a long series of abuses. These episodes of violence reportedly began in 2020, following the couple's separation. The man allegedly engaged in a series of insults, threats, and beatings.

Following the Carabinieri's investigation, the Judicial Authority was able to issue a protective order for the victim. The man must now comply with the imposed restrictions, which prohibit him from residing in the municipality of Giba and, in particular, from approaching his ex-wife's residence.
