Gianfranco Scalas is dead: the Army loses its historic spokesman

Gianfranco Scalas, retired Army general and political leader of Forza Paris, has died. For years he was the Army spokesman in various peace missions, founder and leader of the political group Forza Paris and an attentive connoisseur of the world of popular traditions, known throughout the island and especially in Sardinian and national journalistic circles.

He died this morning at the Policlinico di Monserrato, where he was hospitalized. Gianfranco Scalas would have turned 74 in June.
