The funeral of the entrepreneur Gesuino Oppo , who died at the age of 79 , will be held on Thursday morning 12 January at 11 in the BV Immaculate Parish in Ghilarza . This morning he was taken ill in his home, where he died despite the intervention of 118.

The news of his death aroused deep condolences throughout Sardinia, in the peninsula and in the world, where he was well known and appreciated. He was the owner of the well-established Oppo company, leader in the plumbing and plant engineering sector with offices in Cagliari, Oristano, Ghilarza, Macomer, Sassari, Olbia, which employs around 70 people.

His disappearance has caused great pain in the country, considering the enormous entrepreneurial, human and generosity qualities that have always distinguished him in 60 years of activity. Nando Pinna , former mayor of Abbasanta and one of his closest friends, remembers him moved and with tears in his eyes, with whom together with Dario Carta , Oppo shared his coffee break every morning.

«With a surveyor diploma in his pocket, he had taken over his father Peppino's block factory from a very young age - says Pinna - but over time he had gradually diversified the company branches. A person of rare intelligence and humility, he was naturally loved and his employees were his big family. He wanted to know everything about everyone and really considered them an integral part of the company. In step with the times and always attentive to changes, he had embraced the online market which made him known everywhere. One of his passions was fountains, the latest of which he built for Australia».
