Over one hundred students from Dettori and De André high schools in Tempio Pausania and Olbia participated in the trips funded by Erasmus+ Next Generation EU PNRR resources. The Sardinian institutes' partner schools are in Poland (Siepraw, Krakow), Spain (Umbrete, Seville), Germany (Geselkirchen, Essen), Belgium (Maldegem, Brussels), Sweden (Stockholm), and Greece (Katerini, Thessaloniki). The Sardinian students strengthened their language, cultural, and social skills thanks to opportunities for exchange and discussion with other European communities. The main topics covered were cultural comparison, exploration of the host country, environmental sustainability, leadership and democracy, digital skills, and European institutions.
Erasmus+ programs also include hosting international students and teachers. Students and teachers from Germany, Latvia, Cyprus, Spain, Poland, and Sweden have arrived in Gallura. Further guests are expected to stay in Tempio, Aggius, Bortigiadas, Luras, Calangianus, Badesi, Luogosanto, Santa Teresa, and Telti.
Guided tours and activities were organized (Nuraghe Majore, the Organica Museum, and Mount Limbara with a visit to the mouflon enclosure; the Cork Museum of Calangianus; the Museum of Mediterranean Weaving in Castelsardo; the Museum of Banditry and MEOC in Aggius); meetings and workshops were also organized by the Tempio Municipality (Li Mastri Carrascialai). Foreign students had the opportunity to learn about organizations such as the diocesan Caritas and the Forestas Territorial Service.
