The G7 Science and Technology stops in Su Gologone: the Sardinia Region hosts the conference in the Nuoro area next week, from Monday 28 to Wednesday 30 October.

An opportunity for international discussion regarding the impact of infrastructures dedicated to scientific research. And it is no coincidence that this topic is being discussed in Sardinia and, in particular, in this territory: it is a sign of growing attention towards the candidacy of the Sos Enattos site to host the Einstein Telescope .

"This is precisely why today, in the council, we approved the address act for the signing of an agreement between the Sardinia Region and the institutional and territorial partners, aimed at creating a multilevel Governance for the support and promotion of the Sardinian candidacy to host ET", says the president of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde. "We are at the forefront on this front, we have already allocated funds to co-finance the construction of a new research center in place of the former Rimisa warehouse, also in Sos Enattos ".

"The Project Unit is strategic," Todde continues. "We will follow the authorization process, we will set up an inter-departmental control room and a promotion committee with the Universities and research institutions, finally we will sign a program agreement with the municipalities of the Project Area, the capital cities, the unions of municipalities and the mountain communities impacted by the work."

The goal is to host the Einstein Telescope, "with the constant involvement of local communities , not only for the construction of the work but also for all the activities that concern territorial development connected to it: roads, school and health facilities, establishment of international schools and targeted policies for production settlements", concludes the president.
