Tomorrow, Saturday, May 9th, at 9:30 a.m., the conference "Living in Destinations: Digital Nomadism, Residential Life, and the Future of Coastal Areas" will take place at Cantine Surrau in Arzachena. The event is part of the G20Spiagge program, which begins today with a meeting in the Nexus Space between representatives of the association's member towns, which attract over 1 million tourists annually in Italy. "The conference represents a key opportunity to meet with tourism professionals and actively engage them in new global trends. We have invited hoteliers, real estate agencies, landlords, and trade associations," said Arzachena's mayor, Roberto Ragnedda. "We want to provide the tools to gain greater awareness of the area's potential, starting with direct discussions with other municipal administrations. Moving beyond seasonality means building a more balanced and sustainable development model for our community, capable of enlivening the area, particularly the historic center, in every season."

The conference, moderated by Adriana Miotto, CEO of Just Good Tourism and scientific coordinator of the G20s Network, will open with a focus on digital nomadism by Alberto Mattei, president of the Italian Association of Digital Nomads. This will be followed by a roundtable discussion entitled "Living in Coastal Destinations: Challenges and Opportunities," during which representatives of the Network's municipalities will report on the outcome of today's working groups. Speakers will include Daniela Angelini, Mayor of Riccione, Elena Nappi, Mayor of Castiglione della Pescaia, and Claudia Giagoni, Tourism Councilor of Arzachena. The discussion will address the regulation of short-term rentals, the growing imbalance of the real estate market compared to residents' needs, and the management of seasonal work, analyzing the "housing" factor as a lever for attracting qualified personnel.
