Lightning trial for the alleged Totòtruffa-style scam which in 2019 had ended up in newspapers all over the world and in many memes ( HERE THE NEWS ). The Temple investigating judge closed the case of the frozen wild boar, acquitting the protagonists of the story "due to the particular tenuity of the fact", i.e. due to the small potential consequences and dangerousness of the conduct of the defendants.
Four years ago, the staff of the Forestry Corps reported two people, a 56-year-old man from Sorso and a 49-year-old friend from Sennori. The two, according to the Gallura public prosecutor's office , allegedly used a wild boar (we read in the charge "mostly frozen") to simulate a road accident, caused by the impact with the animal (near Vignola, Aglientu), and thus obtain the reimbursement provided for by regional laws.
In the file there is the whole story of the alleged attempted scam against the Region. The scam was thwarted by Forestry Corps personnel and a veterinarian. No traces of blood were found at the scene of the accident (on the road and on the wild boar's carcass). And when the vet began operations to remove the spleen of the ungulate (in order to carry out tests on the positivity of swine fever) he realized that the bowels were frozen. The prosecutor asked for a sentence of less than a year in prison, but the sentence was acquittal.
