The Tacchi Festival returns from August 3rd to 9th. This contemporary theater festival, now in its twenty-seventh edition, is organized by the Cagliari-based company Cada Die Teatro. It will feature artists such as Giuliana Musso, Dario Vergassola, Paolo Rossi, Giuseppe Cederna, Max Paiella, Daria Paoletta, Silvia Montagnini, and Roberto Mercadini . It will also offer a packed program of collateral events in Jerzu and Ulassai , where social and historical reflection, through literature, takes center stage.
On August 6th at 5 pm, at the Camuc Casa Museo Cannas in Ulassai , a meeting curated by Giuseppe Cabizzosu and enriched by readings by Pierpaolo Piludu will take place. On this first day, three volumes of great identity impact will be presented: Antonio Puddu_Totu sas poesias , a complete works collecting the works of the prolific dean of Ulassai dialect poets, edited by Cabizzosu himself; and the novel Nuraxia. Libro secondo. Le Valorose by Daniele Sanna, the second volume of a fantasy saga for children and adults, set in a world inspired by the Nuragic civilization and Ogliastra, which follows the courageous journey of Grixenda and her friends. Finally, the volume Fogli sporchi by Gianpiero Piras will be presented.
The journey through the collective memory and local history will continue on Saturday, August 8th in Jerzu , in the council chamber at 11:00 a.m., with the presentation of the monumental volume Jerzu: A Thousand Lives, a Story. Cussus de su qorantases (Ars Artium Editrice), the fourth installment in the Annales d'Ogliastra series. Edited by Tonino Serra Contu, Piero Carta, Antonio Mou, and publisher Rocco Meloni, the work is the fruit of over thirty years of rigorous research into parish, notarial, judicial, and land registry documents, and maps in detail the history and family tree of 130 Ierzu family members and the 4,000 families descending from 1600 to the present. By showcasing these authors and this archival research, the festival fulfills its ethical mission of placing social well-being, inclusion, and cultural rebirth at its core.
Providing the backdrop and impetus for these cultural insights is the prestigious collaboration with the CaMuC Museum , confirmed for the second time after last year's success. The cultural center will host two free participatory art workshops, strongly inspired by the artistic legacy of Maria Lai.
From August 7th to 9th, "Sotto la panca la capra campa" (Above the bench, the goat lives), a ceramics workshop curated by Jubanna, will take place. Participants will shape small goats from white refractory terracotta to create a collective work. On August 8th and 9th, artist Sonia Paradell Roig (Sonparo) will lead the textile workshop "Orditi di Resistenza" (Orders of Resistance ), inviting the public to weave colorful threads within large geometric frames integrated into the museum's architecture.
The Immersi nel Festival program is rounded out with itineraries dedicated to rediscovering the area's natural beauty and landscape. On Friday, August 7th, a walk through the open-air museum in Ulassai will take place, a 1.5 km itinerary curated by E-Motion, allowing visitors to admire the famous outdoor installations by Maria Lai and other renowned artists. On Saturday, August 8th, Valentina Allegria will lead a 5 km circular hike through the majestic Tacchi mountains, exploring the therapeutic properties of local species. This excursion will conclude with the shared preparation of herbal teas.
