Promoting the development of the quality beer supply chain in Sardinia is the objective of the resolution proposed by the Agriculture Councillor, Gian Franco Satta, and approved in the last meeting of the Council.
The device defines the implementation guidelines for the two types of aid, the first relating to the premium for cereal growers who adhere to a supply chain agreement and who grow two-row barley for beer production and the second dedicated to investments for the construction and modernization of craft and agricultural breweries.
"We believe in the quality of our cereal growers' products," explains the councilor, "that's why we have allocated a total of 7.5 million for beer producers. I believe it is important to incentivize and enhance the many products that come from our crops because they express our know-how and our identity."
The resources available for the provision of premiums to cereal growers, who cultivate two-row barley varieties suitable for malting production and who adhere to a supply chain agreement for the production of beer for small craft establishments, will be paid in the amount of 200 euros per hectare of cultivated surface to beneficiaries who sign the supply chain agreement for a total of 4.5 million.
While the resources available for investments, for the creation and modernization of craft and agricultural breweries that adhere to a supply chain agreement are a total of 3 million. In this case, a maximum overall contribution per company of 200 thousand euros is allowed. The intensity of the aid is equal to 60% of the costs eligible for contribution. The implementation of the activities is the responsibility of the Laore agency. The financial resources allocated to the implementation of the interventions find financial coverage in the regional budget.
