From Saccargia to Orgosolo to Cagliari: the path of the "Pratobello 24"

From Saccargia to Orgosolo to Cagliari . In a torrid summer meetings, assemblies, proposals to repel the wind and photovoltaic assault .

The geography of a large mobilization . The path to the capital. Many junctions in this path.

In Saccargia , a few steps from the Basilica, the forces and enthusiasm were measured . A test before giving impetus to the protest against energy speculation. In the port of Oristano the convoys that transported the gigantic blades for the construction of wind farms to Sardinia were blocked. The committees organized themselves and found full harmony with many mayors.

An alliance that is the backbone of the popular initiative bill called Pratobello 24. It is the call for another mobilization. In 1969 Orgosolo opposed the Government's decision to use the Pratobello area for military exercises. Again Orgosolo, where the bill was born and again Pratobello, a turning point in the Sardinian history of the twentieth century. In the middle of summer the collection of signatures for Pratobello 24 began. In the municipal offices and at traveling stalls. And numbers are constantly growing.

The Sardinians have made their voices heard. Over 211 thousand signatures. A political fact to take into account. A clear and unequivocal message against energy speculators.
