Four fires that broke out this morning from the south to the north of Sardinia are keeping firefighting teams busy with aerial and ground resources.

The Forestry Corps is responding with the support of a helicopter from the Iglesias operations base to a fire in the Narcao area in the Riu Frassu area.

To contain the flames, a second helicopter from the regional fleet, coming from the Pula helicopter base, is in action on site.

Two helicopters from the Anela and Farcana operational bases are working on a fire in the Bottidda area.

A fire has also been reported in Bono, in the Pedra Tunda area, since this morning. A helicopter was also called in to respond to this fire.

The fourth fire of the morning broke out in Teti , in the Masolo Prano area. Staff from the Sorgono forestry station are coordinating the firefighting operations on site, from where a helicopter was dispatched.
