The Bonorva community and the Mondo X - Sardegna association are preparing to celebrate the 80th birthday of Father Salvatore Morittu, founder and driving force behind a story shared by many. On Tuesday, September 29, many will gather in prayer and celebration, first at the Holy Mass celebrated in the parish church of the Nativity of Mary, scheduled for 4:30 pm, and then moving to the community of S'Aspru for a convivial gathering.

"To Father Morittu, eighty thanks for a life given, for the meetings, the relationships, the welcome and for all the paths shared over these years", is the recognition of those who have crossed his life, the entire Mondo X family.

Always at the side of the most vulnerable, of young people wounded by addiction, for over forty years Father Salvatore Morittu has made the fight against indifference his mission, alongside his lifelong companion, "sister fragility." Originally from Bonorva, a Franciscan of the Order of Friars Minor, in 1980 he founded the first community in Sardinia for drug addicts, San Mauro, in Cagliari, followed by the communities of S'Aspru and Campu 'e Luas, in Siligo and Uta, places of welcome for a wounded humanity to whom he has never ceased to lend a hand.
