Ribbon cutting in Cagliari for the garden in via Is Guadazzonis :   the redevelopment works have transformed a degraded space into a multifunctional green area with children's play areas, dog areas, fitness area and spaces for relaxation.

«The renovated garden in via Is Gaudazzonis - comments the mayor Paolo Truzzu - increases the greenery in the vicinity , to allow the daily use of citizens, families and four-legged friends, and constitutes part of the "green" interventions that the In recent months the Administration has been carrying out: redevelopment of 27 green areas, 52 school gardens, 9 play areas, without forgetting the greenery of viale Buoncammino and via Roma. At the end of these works, the green footprint of the city will be even more marked and the inconveniences that these construction sites inevitably cause will be forgotten. I want to thank once again the women and men who work in the municipal offices, in this case the parks, greenery and wildlife management service, for their daily commitment to improving our city."

«The works in the garden in via Is Guadazzonis - adds the vice mayor and councilor for public green spaces Giorgio Angius - represent the optimal standard of sustainability: the area of approximately 1,500 square meters now houses two dog areas, divided by size, an area games for children, a fitness area and a relaxation area with benches and an ornamental fountain. The green arrangement consists of specimens of Palm, Jacaranda and Albizia, adorned with Mediterranean scrub shrubs and essences, served by an underground irrigation system equipped with humidity sensors that adjusts based on the humidity rate of the soil, to avoid waste . The areas have grassy carpets that are highly resistant to trampling and require little maintenance, with the exception of the fitness area which has a synthetic grass surface, while the walkways are made of draining material. Lighting is guaranteed by poles equipped with low energy consumption LED lights. The irrigation and lighting systems are powered by a large photovoltaic panel."

To guarantee the safety of citizens and the continuation of the new garden, a perimeter network has been installed and a video surveillance system will be active. The intervention, carried out in 2023, is financed with PON Metro React-EU funds.
