After the autopsy results were filed, the Cagliari Prosecutor's Office ordered the return to the family of the body of Francesca Deidda, the 42-year-old who was hammered to death in her home in San Sperate last May.

The funeral will take place on Saturday. Meanwhile , the prosecution has requested an immediate trial for her husband, Igor Sollai, 43 years old, in prison in Uta since the beginning of July on charges of murder and concealment of a corpse .

According to investigators, Sollai killed his wife with a series of hammer blows, transporting the body on the old state road 125 and hiding the body, in a duffel bag, next to the old Roman bridge, in the territory of San Vito.

The man, on November 22, in prison, after a long interrogation conducted by the prosecutor Marco Cocco, confessed to the murder of his wife. Sollai's defense excludes premeditation, supported instead by the prosecution, ready to formulate in court the request for life imprisonment.
