The Carabinieri of the temporary station of Flumini di Quartu , with the support of their colleagues from the Operational Section of the NORM and the Sestu station, arrested in flagrante a 34-year-old local worker, already known to the police, on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
The operation began when officers noticed a suspicious package inside a parked car . After identifying the owner, the Carabinieri conducted a search of both the car and the man's home.
During the search, 2.7 kilograms of marijuana separated into plastic bags, nearly 700 grams of hashish in blocks, and over 100 grams of cocaine already divided into doses were discovered. In addition to the narcotics, a precision scale, various materials for cutting and packaging the doses, and €4,330 in cash were seized, believed to be the likely proceeds of the illegal activity.
Following the investigation, the man was taken to Uta prison, where he was held by the judicial authorities pending a validation hearing.
