A house fire broke out in Fordongianus at dawn today. The flames reportedly started in the bedroom, and a 67-year-old man was hospitalized for early smoke inhalation.

The alarm was raised around 7:00 a.m. in a house on Via Tirso. The cause of the fire is still unclear, but it certainly started in the bedroom of a man who was suffering from health problems. Within seconds, the flames engulfed the furniture (even the mattress) and the room filled with smoke. The man managed to escape, but in the process, he inhaled significant amounts of smoke.

Firefighters worked for a long time to put out the flames, while the 58-year-old was assisted by 118 operators who then transferred him to San Martino with a yellow code.
